Newton and Grayson will resume what has become an intense rivalry on this week’s Football Fridays in Georgia broadcast. Kickoff on GPB-TV is at 7:30 p.m.

Newton stunned Grayson 31-27 last year in Grayson for its first-even win over the Rams. Grayson had won the first seven meetings.

The contest will again have ramifications in the Region 4-6A race. Grayson is 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the region. Newton is 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the region.

Newton is coming off a 50-25 win over Archer. The Rams are coached by Josh Skelton.

Grayson overpowered Grovetown 63-0 on Friday. The Rams ranked No. 7 in the GPB Top 10, are coached by Santavious Bryant.

The GPB Web game will feature Cambridge (5-0) at East Coweta (3-2).
