Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of November 4

The 2024 Georgia high school football regular season is winding down but our search for overlooked players continues.
Here are our nominees for the week of November 4, 2024.
Zayden Cook, Chattooga, RB/LB, SR
Cook is a 5'10 195 LBS senior running back and linebacker for the Chattooga Indians that has 2,735 rushing yards with 31 TDs, 66 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions in just 10 games for the 2024 season. The All-Region running back is a member of Chattooga's 4-man team in SkillsUSA as a plumber. Last year, the team won the state championship and placed nationally this past summer in Atlanta. The multi-sport scholar athlete is a track champion in the 110 hurdles and a state runner up in wrestling. Cook has a 3.6 GPA and wishes to study Computer Science in college.

Daethan Haselrig, Rome, DL, SR
Haselrig is a 6'1 255 LBS senior defensive lineman for the Rome Wolves. Described as "very quick and powerful on his get off," he has started on varsity since his sophomore year and has a high football IQ. Haselrig has the ability to play on both sides of the ball but has really settled into his role as a DL this season. In the spring, he throws Shotput for the track team to stay in shape during the off season. He holds a 3.6 GPA and hopes to go to college to get a degree and play at the next level for any team - it doesn't matter who, he just wants to play ball.

Terrious Favors, Carver Atlanta, CB/WR, JR
Favors is a 5'10 160 LBS junior cornerback and wide receiver for the Carver Atlanta Panthers that has 33 receptions, 737 yards, an average of 23.3 yards per carry, 10 TDs, six interceptions, and two return TDs. Favors has repeatedly been told that he is too small to play at the next level by college coaches, but he has not given up and continues to train more, work out more, and study film even more! He believes that his performance and production on the field will compensate for his size, and he is okay with having to do twice as much to get less recognition.

CJ Reece, Fannin County, MLB, JR
The two-year starting junior middle linebacker for Fannin County has 104 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 10 QB hurries in just 10 games on the season. The 6'0 210 LBS Rebel finished his sophomore season with 94 tackles and 10 tackles for loss, this earned him a 2nd team All-Region nomination. Reece is a leading tackler in his classification and is ranked the #26 LB in the state by Prep Red Zone. He has a 4.0 GPA, is a member of the National Honors Society and has dreams to play at the next level.

Na’Quoye Govan, Jonesboro, RB, JR
The Jonesboro Cardinals 6'0 175 LBS junior running back has 45 carries for 500 yards and 7 TDs on the season.
Here are a few words from his position coach: "A fast running back that possesses a unique combination of speed, agility, and quick decision-making skills. His ability to accelerate quickly, change direction on a dime, and break away from defenders can be truly electrifying to watch. He has the ability to turn a seemingly ordinary play into a game-changing moment with his explosive speed and dynamic playmaking ability."

Cody Bryan, Heritage (Catoosa), WR, JR
Bryan is a 5'8 160 LBS junior wide receiver for the Heritage (Catoosa) that has 66 receptions for 1,214 yards with seven TDs, 32 total tackles, one interception, two fumble recoveries and 120 kick-return yards. He was named First Team All-Region for the 2023-2024 season, runs a 4.46 40-yard dash and has a 4.0 GPA.

Camauri Berry, Spalding, RB/LB, SO
The 5'10 175 LBS sophomore running back and linebacker has 33 carriers for 194 rushing yards, 34 total tackles and one interception on the season. Berry has been awarded Second Team All-Region Defense and is a member of the Beta Club. The two-sport athlete runs track for the Jaguars, has a 3.77 GPA and aspires to play at the next level. Berry has goals to one day open his own company and become a chef.

Yusuf Muhammad, Mundys Mill, CB/SS, SO
Muhammad is a 6'1 160 LBS sophomore cornerback and strong safety for Mundys Mill. The two-times Defensive Player of the Game has 34.5 tackles, four pass break ups, and one interception on the season. He has 3.4 GPA and has goals to be a region player of the year and to be named the number one defensive back in his class.
