About Grayson: The No. 6-ranked Rams (13-1) won the Region 4 champions. Linebacker Tyler Atkinson (127 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 11 sacks) was named co-region player of the year. Others who made the first-team all-region team were quarterback Travis Burgess (2,075 yards, 22 TDs), receiver Alex Sanchez (40 receptions, nine TDs), offensive linemen Nick Brooks, Josh Threat and Chris Gardner, defensive linemen Andre Fuller and Josiah Victor, linebackers Anthony Davis (80 tackles, 14 tackles for loss) and Jonathan Sconiers (72 tackles, 12 tackles for loss), defensive backs Jaylon Williams and Jaylen Bell, kicker Ricardo Martinez and punter Ryan Ortega.
About Carrollton: The No. 1-ranked Trojans (14-0) won the Region 2 champions. Quarterback Julian Lewis, a Colorado signee who threw for 3,465 yards and 46 touchdowns, was the region player of the year. Players named to the first team all-region team were running back Kimauri Farmer (1,256 yards, 20 TDs), receivers Peyton Zachary (65 receptions, 10 TDs) and Ryan Mosley (52 receptions, 11 TDs), tight end Zion Cooley, offensive linemen R.J. Sizemore, Zykie Helton and Cole Norred, returner A.J. McNeil, defensive linemen Jacob Ricks and C.J. Kelley, linebackers Landon Wolf (80 tackles) and Kadan Spratling, defensive backs Dorian Barney, Shamar Arnoux and Zelus Hicks, and punter Julian Vargas.

Championship history: Carrollton has won seven state championships – 1956, 1961, 1964, 1971-72, 1974 and 1998. The Trojans have reached the title game on seven other occasions, most recently 2022. Grayson has won three state championships – 2011, 2016 and 2020 and have recorded double-digit wins in 17 of the last 18 seasons.
