July is National Hot Dog Month in America, and with this recognition comes the cultural acknowledgment franks serve as regional compass points for our culture. 

New York, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta and Macon all have distinctive styles of preparation and condiments.

Here in our state, two names are as famous as peanuts and peaches: Nu-Way in Middle Georgia, Macon and The Varsity in Atlanta and Athens.

Who cut the mustard first? I traveled to Macon for an answer.
