(Mon 6/27)  This week in Augusta, there’s a program for free-spirited adults at The Headquarters Branch library downtown on Telfair Street. It’s called, “Adults Can Color Too!”, and it takes place Monday afternoon from 6:30-7:30. Coloring pages, pencils and crayons are all provided. All you need to bring is your creativity! (Tue 6/28)  Tuesday, there’s a bike safety event for young riders. The “Bike Rodeo” includes safety tips, bike decorating, and a bike carwash. It takes place from 11 til noon in the back parking lot at The Aiken County Public Library, 314 Chesterfield Street South in Aiken. Helmets are required for all participants. (Wed 06/29)  Wednesday in Edgefield, it’s an opportunity to learn about the American Revolution as Andrew Jackson O’Shaughnessy discusses his book: The Men Who Lost America. O'Shaughnessy is a Professor of History at The University of Virginia and director of the International Center for Jefferson Studies at Monticello. (Thu 6/30)  Thursday afternoon from 4 'til 5, kids and teens are invited to The Aiken County Public Library to participate in games featuring chocolate. (Fri-Sat 07/01-02)  This weekend, the Aiken Community Playhouse presents Norm Foster’s “Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun”. It is the story of a pregnant young woman and a mentally challenged man whose meeting at a bus stop changes their lives forever. Showtime Friday & Saturday is 7:30pm. (Fri 07/01)  Improv comedy returns to Le Chat Noir Friday evening, as Schrodinger’s Cat presents yet more “extreme Theatre Games”. (Fri 7/1)  The Friday Family Movie Matinee continues at Columbia County Library on Evans Town Center Blvd. This week’s feature is “Shaun The Sheep”, the amusing story of a sheep that thinks and acts like a person in the barnyard (which usually gets him into trouble.) (Sat 7/2)  The vocal ensemble, “Augusta Bel Canto” is presenting their fourth annual Independence Day Concert Saturday afternoon at 1:30. It takes place at The Augusta Museum of History, 560 Reynolds Street in downtown Augusta. Admission is free. (Mon 07/04)  Monday, it’s time to celebrate Independence Day in downtown Augusta at this year’s Star Spangled Fourth concert at Saint Paul’s Church at 7th & Reynolds on the Riverwalk. This year, the event features Augusta’s own Broadway star—Russell Joel Brown—plus the St. John Women’s Ensemble, the Independence Day Chorus, color guard and seven World War II veterans. This annual concert consistently sells out, but you can purchase tickets online while they’re still available at riverwalkseries.com.
