(Event Date: Wed 11/30) The Augusta Public Library Headquarters on 823 Telfair Street offers “Tech Help for Tablets and E-Readers” this Wednesday from 6pm-7pm. The Library staff is set to provide free assistance. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the latest technology. (Event Date: Thur 12/01) Augusta Amusements presents, “A Very Electric Christmas” this Thursday at 3:30pm and 7:30pm. You can enjoy creative stories featuring holiday lights at the Jabez S. (Event Date: Fri 12/02) Friday, beginning at 7:30 pm, the Aiken Community Playhouse on Newberry Street Southwest is presenting a performance of Amahl and the Night Visitors. This opera retells the story of the three kings traveling to Bethlehem, told from the point of view of a child who meets them along their journey. (Event Date: Sat 12/03) Saturday, beginning at 10am, The Living History Park, on West Spring Grove Avenue, in North Augusta, invites you to Christmas for the Birds. During this event, edible decorations are assembled for birds to eat throughout the winter. You are also invited to create snacks for the dogs and cats of local pet adoption centers. (Event date: Sun 12/04) The Augusta University Music Conservatory Program presents The Sand Hills String Band performing bluegrass, jazz and blues. The ensemble features guitar, mandolin and fiddle. You can enjoy the sounds of this musical family this Sunday, December 4th, at Augusta University’s Maxwell Theatre. Showtime is 7:30pm and the performance is free and open to the public.
