(Event date: Tue 12/06) You’re invited to help brighten the holiday season at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting on AU’s Summerville Campus Tuesday at 6pm. Augusta University and the Summerville Neighborhood Association present this joyful event each December featuring caroling, crafts, and photos with Santa. The celebration takes place on the History Walk beside the Maxwell Theatre. More details online at calendar.augusta.edu.
(Event Date: Wed 12/07) The Augusta University Literacy Center presents "Christmas, the Measles, and Me". It’s Wednesday at 10am at Maxwell Theatre on AU’s Summerville Campus. This holiday favorite, starring Holly the Elf, teaches little ones the important lesson that wishes can come true. More information is available at Calendar.Augusta.edu.
(Event Date: Thu 12/08) Thursday evening at 7, Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School is hosting the Winter Band Concert. This event, which takes place in the Beverly Barnhart Theatre on 12th street, features the school’s award-winning bands performing holiday favorites. Desserts and beverages will be served. (Event Date: Fri 12/09) Friday from 6 to 8 PM, The Morris museum of Art on 10th street is hosting an Artist Talk with Cherly Goldsleger. This event coincides with the opening of her exhibit titled “Unquiet Territories”--the body of work she will be discussing. This internationally acclaimed artist is Augusta University’s William S. (Event Date: Sun 12/11) The Aiken Symphony Orchestra presents “Home for the Holidays”. The concert features classic holiday melodies and ends with a sing-along conducted by Maestro Donald Portnoy.
