As we prepare to move forward into another year..lets pause to get our heads and our hearts in the right place..…and tonight we will hear the sounds of reflection, INSPIRATION and progression in jazzy fashion!

We'll make our way to the beginning of the new year together byl celebrating the spirit of Kwanzaa, reflecting on our goals for the year ahead (its a resolution-free zone!) and remembering those who left us in 2010. We'll explore the critics' choice for best jazz in 2010, plus shake a tail feather with our own second line party to take us to the top of 2011.

Before 2010 ends, I leave you with this message of gratitude, because I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to share this amazing art form with you each Friday on GPB Radio!

As we close out this year, please remember to:

-be thankful for the struggle that life is

-be thankful for the victories however small

-be thankful for our companions along the way

-and be gleefully thankful for the guidance and protection from above….
