McInstosh High School's drone team, McIntosh Aeronautics, returned to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, this summer to compete at the national drone competition hosted by the Academy of Model Aeronautics at the EAA AirVenture Airshow. Out of the many teams that qualified through their region, the top eight were invited to compete at the national competition. The teams have to present their drone’s engineering design process, complete an impromptu programming, and end with a 30 minute challenge task. 

The GHSA football playoffs get underway this weekend and GPB Sports' Jon Nelson and Hannah Goodin called upon a group of experts from around the state to give you a preview of the key matchups, teams to look out for and the players to watch in this playoff edition of the Football Fridays in Georgia podcast. 

The McIntosh Multi-Rotor Team earned its second consecutive championship win and a $2,500 cash prize.

A last-minute field trip gave students a unique opportunity to witness one of nature's most spectacular events.
