Atlanta Science Festival, the city’s ultimate celebration of all things science and one of the largest of its kind in the country, returns March 10-25. All ages can experience 150 interactive and educational events. The Exploration Expo, a giant science bash in Piedmont Park, returns as the grand finale of the Festival.
NPR's Student Podcast Challenge is back for a fifth year! From January 6 through April 28, middle and high school students will have the chance to submit a podcast on any topic, with a maximum length of eight minutes.

Regeneron and Society for Science announced the 300 students named as scholars in the Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. The 300 scholars will be awarded $2,000 each and their schools will be awarded $2,000 for each enrolled scholar.

CITY ISLAND, a new series of animated digital shorts for early elementary school-aged children, will be coming to audiences across the U.S. starting December 26, 2022 on PBS KIDS. The new shorts will feature a civics curriculum, highlighting topics like cooperation, conflict resolution, and city planning, helping to foster young viewers’ understanding of how cities and communities work.
