Georgia is among the top 11 states with most opioid overdose deaths, and 55 Georgia counties have an overdose rate higher than the national average. Overdose rates this year are on the rise nationwide, and right here in Georgia. According to Georgia state health officials, fentanyl-related opioid overdose deaths increased by 61% between March-June 2020.
GPB and the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities invite you to this conversation hosted by Jaye Watson. A panel of experts will discuss the factors contributing to health disparities in Georgia and the resources available to address and create change. They will also be taking questions from the audience.
