What to Expect:

Recording in Advance: Once you find a time that works for you, please arrive at GPB 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. You will be greeted in the lobby by GPB staff. From there, you will be guided to GPB's recording studios.

The session will involve responding to prompts related to you or your family's migration story to Georgia. Some examples include:

  • Why did you or your family members choose Georgia to move to?
  • What traditions have been passed down in your family?

The recording session will last approximately 30 minutes. Upon completion, you will receive a copy of your recording within a few weeks. Your recorded contribution will be featured in a special event celebrating the release of "Great Migration: A People on the Move" on February 26th.

Recording on February 26th: In addition to scheduled studio recordings, we invite you to share your migration story informally in our atrium between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on February 26th. We'll ask similar questions, but this option won't include the professional recording experience offered in GPB's studios.

Help us spread the word! There are incredible migration stories waiting to be shared, and we can't wait to hear them!
