George has over forty years experience in higher education and public school education. He taught high school physics and chemistry at Harrison High School in Cobb County, where he also served as Cobb County Public School District science supervisor with over 600 middle and high school science teachers. He wrote and advised on Georgia science curriculum and remains active in science education. He has also been an associate professor and an administrator at Southern Polytechnic State, Kennesaw State, Columbus State, and at the Georgia University System Board Office. He has over fifty publications and book reviews in education, learning theory, and philosophy. George earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas with a minor in math and physics. He earned a master’s in higher education administration and his doctorate in foundations of education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
