Sandra I. McVicker has been named interim President and Chief Executive Officer of MCG Health Incorporated in Augusta. That decision comes after former President and CEO Don Snell resigned earlier this month.

McVicker has been with MCG Health since 1997. In 2004 she was made Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer for the organization.

The Executive Committee of the MCG Health Board will review the decision at its November meeting in Augusta.

MCG Health operates several clinics in Augusta including the MCG Health Medical Center, MCG Health Children’s Medical Center and the Georgia Radiation Therapy Center.
