Toyo Tires in Bartow County will be expanding.

On Tuesday, company officials joined Governor Nathan Deal to sign a deal expanding Bartow County’s bonding capacity by nearly a billion dollars.

The Toyo Tire plant opened its doors in Cartersville in 2006. It was the company’s first U.S. production operation.

The plant now employs 700 people.

This expansion will create 470 potential jobs in Bartow County.
