With the Georgia primary elections just a little more than two weeks away, our panel of insiders look at the heated GOP congressional races where incumbents Doug Collins and Barry Loudermilk are facing challenges in part because of the very first vote each of them took when they arrived at the U.S. House: helping elect John Boehner speaker. Plus they look at the contest to replace 3rd District congressman Lynn Westmoreland, who is retiring at the end of the year.

The panel also examines the first public outing of Jim Barksdale, the Democrats’ handpicked candidate to face off against Johnny Isakson in the fall.

Plus, Governor Nathan Deal is doubling down on his opposition to campus carry. Is he responding to the deluge of angry messages he’s received from gun advocates since his veto of the measure last week. Is any effort to advance this bill dead until after Deal leaves office?

And, the panel looks at the latest in the presidential race: Bernie Sanders’ victory in West Virginia has given him new energy to stay in the race to the bitter end; and ahead of tomorrow’s crucial meeting between Donald Trump and Speaker Paul Ryan, one Georgia congressman says it’s Ryan who’d better get in line.
