Primary Content
Georgia’s role in producing award-winning musicians is well documented. This year, nominations have gone to well-known rappers Lil Yachty and 2 Chainz, country music singer Thomas Rhett and Christian artist David Crowder.
They are joined by newcomer John Burke, a piano player who is up for a Grammy for Best New Age Album.
At only 28 years old, Burke has joined an elite group of musicians including the likes of Enya and Vangelis.
His work, "Orogen," is a solo piano album centered around the concept of tectonic plates shifting to form mountains.
The Grammy Awards ceremony is February 12.
