Today on “Political Rewind,” a U.S. Senate scuffle over the Jeff Sessions nomination is sparking lots of conversation. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) shut down Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) when she started quoting a letter that Coretta Scott King wrote denouncing Sessions in 1986.

It's a topic that's getting plenty of attention, including discussion among lawmakers at the Georgia General Assembly. Our panel weighed in on the controversy, and the larger question of whether Sen. Sessions (R-Alabama) will win appointment as the U.S. Attorney General.

The panel also discussed a bill co-sponsored by Georgia Sen. David Perdue. The so-called RAISE act would address rules affecting legal immigrants to the United States. This led to a general discussion of the immigration issue and how it impacts the lives and businesses of so many Georgians.

Finally, what comes next with the proposed Trump travel ban currently under judicial review?
