Athens-based band, Drive-by Truckers was co-founded by friends Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley in 1996. We revisit an interview with Patterson Hood about the band’s latest album, “American Band,” before Drive-by Truckers play this Friday, Sept. 29, at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse.

Athens-based photographer Jason Thrasher gives us his picks for our Georgia Playlist. His new book, “Athens Potluck,” a photo collection of the city’s musicians, is slated for release in October.

Don Harmon is a co-creator of the popular Adult Swim cartoon, “Rick and Morty.” The season three finale premiers this Sunday, Oct. 1, at 11:30 p.m. on Cartoon Network. We caught up with Harmon earlier this month.
