The weekend is almost here, and there's plenty to do in Savannah. Heather Henley of Do Savannah and Bill Dawers of hissing lawns have some suggestions.Heather and Bill offer their weekend tips.

-The Thursday Night Opry is back at Trinity United Methodist Church, kicking the year off with its singer-songwriter edition. Musicians from Atlanta and Chattanooga will join local favorites Eric Britt, Britt Scott, Josephine Johnson and Jon Waits for a concert to benefit Girls on the Run. Thursday, 7 p.m.; $20.
-Bay Street Theatre is mounting another production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch upstairs at Club One, starring Chad Darnell and Cecilia Tran Arango. The groundbreaking, genre-bending rock musical has been a sensation since it opened off Broadway 20 years ago. Fri-Sun, 7:30 p.m.; $20-25. Runs through Jan. 28.

-MountainFilm on Tour is back in Savannah this weekend, celebrating all things outdoors on the big screen. Highlights include the opening night feature of Take Every Wave, about legendary surfer Laird Hamilton, and Saturday's family matinees. Full schedule and information here.

-Savannah's best fake singers will face off next week at the Lucas Theatre in the Savannah Lip Sync Battle Championship. Last year's top four finishers will square off against the winners of four qualifying battles for the chance to win the ultimate championship belt, all to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Tuesday, 6 p.m.; $15 admission, $1 per vote.
