GPB's Leah Fleming speaks to Chuck Meadows about his new urban farm and restaurant in Atlanta

In 2015, The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations reported that nearly 20 percent of the world’s food is grown on urban farms.

Georgia has long been known as an agricultural power in rural areas.

But now, metro Atlanta is seeing more efforts to grow food inside city limits.

Chuck Meadows is one of the people behind this push.

He’s the former executive director of the Atlanta Beltline Partnership. And now, he's launching Jim Adams Farm in Atlanta, along with a restaurant: Jim Adams Farm and Table.

Meadows sits down with GPB's Leah Fleming to talk about the inspiration for the project and how urban farming could help bring more fresh food to local neighborhoods.
