It's a weekend of music and theater in Savannah, with lots to choose from. Bill Dawers of hissing lawns and the Savannah Morning News and Joshua Peacock of Do Savannah have your guide.Bill and Joshua discuss this weekend's music and theater offerings.

Joshua's picks:

-You've got a few more chances to catch the Savannah Repertory Theatre's production of The Lieutenant of Inishmore. The wickedly funny play tells the story of what happens when someone kills the cat of an Irish National Liberation Army enforcer. Thursday-Saturday, 8 p.m. and Sunday, 3 p.m.; $25 general admission, $20 kids and seniors.

-Savannah Stopover is this weekend, which means lots of shows throughout the historic district. One highlight: the New West Records 20th Anniversary Showcase, Friday at Ships of the Sea museum. It features Cicada Rhythm, Lilly Hiatt, Caroline Rose and Nikki Lane. Tickets cover all shows and range from $34 for one day to $79 for a three-day pass.

-Also on Friday, Barrelhouse South (new to the Stopover venue list this year) has a promising lineup: locals Nancy Druid join The Muckers, Honduras and Public Access T.V. Find the full schedule of bands here.

-A good bet for Saturday night is the Jinx lineup, featuring Acid Dad, Bat Fangs and Pylon Reenactment Society. Preview these bands and the rest of the Stopover musicians here.

-Also wrapping up this weekend is Neil Simon's Plaza Suite at Asbury Memorial Theatre. The play follows different characters in the same suite at New York's Plaza Hotel. Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 3 p.m.; $15.

-Meanwhile at Savannah State's Kennedy Fine Arts building, Collective Face is starting their run of The Great Gatsby. The play adapts the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel of the same name. Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. and Sunday, 3 p.m.; $25 general admission, $20 students, seniors and military. Runs through Mar. 31.

-The Stopover festivities kick off with the opening night show at Ships of the Sea. This year's brings Larkin Poe, Payne Bridges and Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics as well as tasty local food trucks. Opening night-only tickets are $25.

-There's a big show to close out Stopover as well, with TWEN, Gus Dapperton and Of Montreal playing Ships of the Sea. Of Montreal in particular are known for their dazzling stage shows.
