We may be in fora rainy weekend, but there's still plenty to do indoors and out. Marianne Ganem Poppell of Savannah Master Calendar and Claire Sandow of the Tourism Leadership Council have some suggestions.Marianne and Claire talk weekend events.

Claire's picks:

-Fantasizing about a sports car? The European Experience and Trade Exhibition is back on Hutchinson Island with lots of makes and models. The fun also includes a beach day on Tybee and a movie night. Thursday-Sunday, full schedule here; $10 general entry, $30 for European cars and motorcycles joining the show.

-It's part concert, part street festival as Philharmonic in the Streetz comes to the Edgemere/Sackville neighborhoods. The event features live music from Ricardo Ochoa and friends, Laiken Love and the Fellowship of Love, and students from Myers Middle School, as well as a magic show, barbecue, ice cream and more. Marianne's picks:

-It's time for a favorite local kickoff to the summer: the Tybee Island Beach Bum Parade. Be sure to wear a bathing suit and bring your super-soaker because the heart of the celebration is an island-wide water fight. Friday, 6:30-8 p.m.; free.

-Celebrate local daughter Flannery O'Connor with an exhibit of art inspired by the acclaimed author - and maybe take home a piece of your own. The "Southern Discomfort" show at Location Gallery will include a silent auction to benefit the Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home and the artists. Friday, 5-8 p.m.; free admission.

-Honor Armed Forces Day with the Nine Line Run for the Wounded 5K and 10K in Daffin Park. Proceeds will go toward Nine Line's current initiative: a "Veterans Village" transitional community for homeless vets in Savannah. Saturday, 6 p.m.; $40 5K or $45 10K.

-Enjoy an afternoon of great music at the Jewish Educational Alliance's annual Jack Malitz and Miriam Slotin Levy Memorial Concert. The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra will perform, with dessert to follow. Sunday, 2 p.m.; free.
