Trump’s staff banned a CNN reporter from a Rose Garden event because she asked the president tough questions during a press gaggle.

The President also attacked the media during a speech to veterans, where he told them not to trust negative news about him.

GPB's Leah Fleming sits down with veteran journalist David Armstrong, who directs the Georgia News Lab, an investigative journalism program for college students.

 

They discuss the effect that this battle is having on journalists in the field, and on the next crop of young journalists.
