REPORT: $500 Billion Annual Earnings Deficit For Women

On Tuesday, the American Association of University Women released a new report on the state of the gender pay gap.
The group says women miss out on roughly 500 billion dollars each year and are paid only 80 cents on the dollar compared to their male counterparts.

To help combat the issue, the group is launching a new digital course called Work Smart Online, a one hour program that focuses on teaching women how to skillfully negotiate for pay raises.
The group says salary negotiations are a crucial way that the gender pay gap can be narrowed.
