Halloween is next week, and Savannah is going all-out to celebrate this weekend. Marianne Ganem Poppell of Savannah Master Calendar and Heather Henley of Do Savannah have some tips.Marianne and Heather talk weekend events.

Heather's picks:

• Celebrate Pride the Savannah way with a series of events all weekend. First up, enjoy Pride and Halloween with the Masqueerade Ball, where costumes are very much encouraged (though not required) from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Thursday at The Gingerbread House; $30. Saturday's festivities include a free all-day festival in Ellis Square, a pet "pawrade" in City Market (again, costumes encouraged) and a downtown takeover bar crawl from 12 noon to 6 p.m.; $5. 
• Hollywood comes to Savannah for the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. Some of this weekend's highlights include The Front Runner, which was filmed locally and is followed by a Q-and-A with star Hugh Jackman and director Jason Reitman, and the premiere of season four of Outlander, also followed by a Q-and-A with cast and creators. Outlander costumes are on display at the SCAD Museum of Art as well. The full schedule of events is here.
• Get in touch with Savannah's ghostly side with the help of TV's Ghost Brothers. They'll be hosting meet-and-greets and short escape games on Friday and Saturday, plus a full investigation of one of Savannah's (undoubtedly haunted) mansions. Prices and booking information here.

• Dine and learn at Flourish, EmployAbility's fundraiser garden party showcasing the agency's training programs for adults with developmental disabilities. The event will feature drinks, as well as hors d'oeuvres made by the trainees from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday; $100.
• Get a jump on the candy hoarding with West Chatham YMCA's Trunk or Treat. Get the kids into costumes and enjoy candy, games and face painting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday; free.
• Enjoy a fancier Halloween at the William Jay Society's Mardi Gras in the Mansion, at the Telfair Academy. The fun includes music, dancing, fire and magic at 8 p.m. Friday; $85 members, $100 non-members.
• Have some fall fun at the Pooler Fall Festival. Enjoy vendors, rides and entertainment at the Pooler Recreational Complex from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Saturday; free.
• Get spooky for a cause with the Heads-Up Guidance Services Boo Bash at the Alee Temple on Eisenhower Drive. The fun includes dancing, entertainment and a costume contest from 7 to 11 p.m.; $50.
• Eat your fill at the Shalom Y'all Jewish Food Festival in Monterey Square. Be sure to get there early before the latkes, blintzes, kugel and more sell out. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; free to attend with food for purchase.
• Spend an afternoon in the great outdoors at the Girl Scouts' Camp-toberfest. Open to Scouts and non-Scouts alike, the fun includes hay rides, archery, a rock wall, s'mores and more from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Sunday; $5 per car.
