No matter who she or he is, Georgia's next governor will have the power to reshape the state's politics — literally. In 2021, state legislators will redraw their own respective districts, as well as Georgia's congressional districts, based on data from the 2020 census. The next governor gets to approve or veto those new maps. "On Second Thought" host Virginia Prescott speaks with Charles Bullock.
Charles Bullock, a professor of political science at the University of Georgia, joined us for a conversation about the politics and history of redistricting in Georgia. Bullock is author of "Redistricting: The Most Political Activity in America."
