It's the fourteenth day of the legislative session, and the House and Senate have sent their first bill to Gov. Brian Kemp. 

SB 25 clarifies a law dealing with when it is allowed to pass a school bus.

Last year, lawmakers passed a measure that said drivers can pass a stopped school bus in three cases: when they're on the other side of a highway divided by a concrete barrier, when on the other side of a highway divided by a median or grass or when on the other side of a road with a turn lane in the middle. 

That last category didn't sit right with the bill's sponsor, Sen. Bill Heath (R-Bremen), who told his colleagues he received calls from school transportation officials who called it a "fatal error" for children. His chamber passed the measure last Thursday.

In the House Wednesday, Rep. Ginny Ehrhart (R-Powder Springs) showed a graphic of the three types of roads covered by the law and said it's a safety situation that needs to be corrected.

The bill passed unanimously with a vote of 171-0.
