Savannah's busiest season is almost upon us, and this weekend brings a full schedule of events. Bill Dawers of the Savannah Morning News and the music blog hissing lawns has some tips.Bill talks weekend events

• See a true story on stage with the Savannah Repertory Theatre's production of Lombardi, about Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi, at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday; $25 general admission, $20 seniors and children, $10 student rush at the door. Runs through March 3.
• Check out some unusual images at Involunary Maps, on display at In Vino Veritas. The exhibit by Bridget Conn features chemigrams, which are made from silver gelatin photo paper but without camera or negatives. On display through March 14.
• Rock out at El Rocko when A Fragile Tomorrow releases their new record "Generation Loss," with local favorites Nancy Druid opening, at 9 p.m. Friday; free.
• Enjoy some classic jams when Judas Priest cover band Sad Wings of Destiny returns to the Jinx. The Mensa Bullies will open, beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday; $5.
• Celebrate historic Savannah by...running through it at the Historic Savannah Foundation's Race for Preservation. The 5K and 10K routes highlight five historic Savannah neighborhoods, from the Landmark District downtown to Thomas Square Street Car and Daffin Park/Parkside, beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday; $35 5K, $40 10K, with discounts for military, first responders and students.
• Take in another night of great music as JD McPherson comes to the Jinx for a Savannah Stopover pre-show at 10 p.m. Saturday; $15 in advance, $20 day-of. Over at El Rocko, Patsy Carroll, formerly of Les Racquet, returns to town with his new act PATSY at 9 p.m. Saturday.
• End the weekend on a classical note with An Evening with the Concertmaster, presented by the Savannah Philharmonic at the Lutheran Church of the Ascension. Violinist Sinisa Ciric and pianist Paolo André Gualdi will play Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 10 and Franck's Sonata in A Major at 5 p.m. Sunday; $25.
