Seven people have been indicted in a prostitution case linked to Fort Valley State University, which is about 100 miles south of Atlanta.

Local news outlets report a Peach County Grand jury issued indictments last month against a former executive assistant to the university's president and six men.

Alecia Johnson, who was also graduate adviser to a sorority on campus, faces six counts of prostitution, four counts of pimping and two counts of solicitation.

Six men each face one count of solicitation of sodomy and two counts of pandering. They include 57-year-old Hinesville City manager Kenneth Howard and 46-year-old Arthur James Nance Jr. of Cordele, the vice chairman of the Crisp County Commission. Others indicted include a former assistant school principal in Houston County and Fort Valley's former chief lawyer.

The seven were arrested earlier on similar charges.
