Primary Content
Tens of thousands of students in the University System of Georgia will pay more for college next year.
The Board of Regents approved the change at their meeting in Savannah Tuesday.
GPB's Sophia Saliby reports on a tuition increase for students in the University System of Georgia.
Tuition will increase 2.5% for full-time, in-state undergraduate students which translates to about $35 to $125 depending on the school.
Of the 26 colleges and universities in the system, 11 will also be able to increase student fees in the next academic year. Those increases range from $4 to $50 per semester.
The board did not approve a tuition increase last year.
