India Jackson was accepted to NASA's prestigious internship program, but she had only one problem: money. The stipend offered wouldn't cover travel and living expenses for Jackson and her daughter, Jewel.

That's when strangers from around the world stepped in — raising more than $8,000 on GoFundMe to help fulfill Jackson's dreams.

Jackson spoke with On Second Thought host Virginia Prescott about her NASA internship and long-term goals.

From waiting rooms across the country to the floor of the U.S. Capitol, healthcare is one of the biggest issues for American voters.

One of the main challenges in Georgia is access to doctors and pharmacies alike, especially in rural parts of the state. And then there's cost of care. According to the Commonwealth Fund, a quarter of Americans report not filling prescriptions they cannot afford.
