Studies show farmers and agricultural workers are at elevated risk of suicide, and Georgia farmers have been especially hard hit by natural disasters and tariffs.

This week marks the 400th anniversary of the first slave ship arrival in America. August 20, 1619, was one of the most important dates in U.S. history. It marked the incorporation of slavery into the creation of the country, which resonates in almost every aspect of American life today.
