Music Minute: Atlanta's Own Ludacris Turns 42

Today’s music minute features one of the original dirty south rappers, Atlanta's own Ludacris.
Born Christopher Bridges on this day in 1977, Ludacris has carved out a storied career that includes multiple hit songs, Grammys, and acting roles.
Before his rise to fame, he studied Music Management at Georgia State University in the 1990s.
In 2010, Ludacris teamed up with Nicki Minaj to write the song “My Chick Bad.”

Last year, Ludacris earned a CMT award for his performance in the music video “The Champion” alongside Carrie Underwood.
The performance aired on NBC ahead of Super Bowl 52 in Atlanta.
These days, the 42-year-old artist is working on his 10th studio album with fellow creator Timbaland.
