Block Party, Reggae Brunch, More Savannah Weekend Events Nov. 14-17

There are lots of ways to celebrate the first taste of winter in Savannah this weekend. Mahogany Bowers of Blessings in a Bookbag has your guide.Mahogany talks weekend events.

- Celebrate the birthday of wrestling legend Macho Man Randy Savage with a birthday party at Brewed. The fun includes an impersonation contest and runs 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday.
- Have a magical evening as Savannah Stage Company presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast at Service Brewing. It's a family-friendly production kids will love, with beer available in the taproom for the grownups. Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday, with more shows next week; audience members pay what they can.
- Get into the season with two different WinterFest events this weekend. Get a jump on holiday shopping with the local vendors on Rousakis Plaza all weekend, beginning at 11 a.m. each day. And celebrate Frozen II with a launch party at Belk in the Oglethorpe Mall, promising cool treats and a chance to meet Santa from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
- Enjoy a day outdoors at Fig Fest, celebrating Fox & Fig Cafe's second birthday. The event promises yoga in the square, live music, and a benefit dinner for Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary. It all runs 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
- Get your dance on at House Music Mash at the Jinx. Popular local DJs will be spinning beats from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, with no cover fee.
- Chill out with Reggae Sunday at Brewed. Enjoy reggae and dub rythyms along with brunch, Red Stripe specials, kombucha and more from 3 to 6 p.m.
