2020 is set to be a ground-breaking year for the WNBA.

Earlier this month, the league announced some big changes in a new collective bargaining agreement.

The deal includes tripling the max amount of money top players can earn, improving travel conditions and offering paid maternity leave.

The Atlanta Dream and other WNBA teams will start to see the benefits later this month when free agency begins ahead of the season’s start in May.

GPB’s Leah Fleming sat down with Andraya Carter, an Atlanta-based women’s basketball analyst for ESPN, to discuss what this new CBA means for the game and its players.
