People over the age of 60 are at a higher risk of developing a severe case of COVID-19, according to data collected by the World Health Organization. People who have severe underlying chronic medical conditions, like heart, lung disease or diabetes, seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here are some simple tips to help you stay safe and healthy:

·       Wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds

·       Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue

·       Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects

·       Stay home when you are sick

·       Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth

·       Avoid close contact with people who are sick

Most common EPA-registered household disinfectants will work to disinfect surfaces, according to the CDC. One of the recommended options includes diluting household bleach. To make a bleach solution, mix:

5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water

OR 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water

Alcohol Solutions that have at least 70% alcohol
