Atlanta musician Zac Brown is voicing his concerns about the coronavirus and the way people are reacting to it.

In an emotional video posted to Instagram, Brown thanked all the people in his road crew that he had to let go after his touring plans were suspended.

"For the last 15 years my crew, who I carry with me out on the road to play my shows and do what we do, I’ve had to let go of about 90 percent,” Brown said.

"I hate having to make this call, but I can't generate out there and I can't tour with the coronavirus."

Brown also had some strong words for people who aren't taking the virus seriously, especially those who are still gathering in public and ignoring safety warnings.

“The longer that America doesn't take this seriously and doesn't stay in and try to contain this, the longer that everyone is going to be out of jobs,” Brown said.

“The sickness has just begun here; it is just started to rear its head. You need to wake up, stay indoors and try to socially distance yourself.”

Members of the Zac Brown Band have done several acoustic sets on social media to help pass the time.

Clay Cook and Coy Bowles will be performing live on Instagram this Sunday night.

"I love to spread music, spread love. song and share (it) with the world," Brown said.

"I'll do my best to do that behind closed doors. But if we're going to heal from this and get back to doing what we were doing before this hit, then everyone's got to take this seriously."
