A Georgia town is picking up the pieces after an overnight tornado left one man dead and others injured. Coweta County officials blame the death on the EF2 storm that caused "catastrophic" damage in Newnan.

Authorities reported several downed trees and power lines in the town Friday morning. Newnan, coined "the city of homes," is also known for its historic homes. There is a rich history with the homes being used as hospitals during the Civil War.
