Former White House Communications Director David Gergen joins Bill Nigut. He has served as communications director for President Gerald Ford and President Ronald Reagan. He also served as an advisor to former President Bill Clinton, and is currently an analyst for CNN.
He discussed his new book, Hearts Touched With Fire: How Great Leaders are Made. Gergen gave his perspective on how hardship can breed strong leaders, and the state of political leaders today. He also spoke on the Saturday mass shooting in Buffalo, N.Y.
