Ahmaud Arbery's mother plans to mark the anniversary of her son's death with a community conversation in Atlanta on Friday.

Opponents of a proposed mine near Southeast Georgia's Okefenokee Swamp spoke out last night during a public meeting. 

Residents in Bartow County, northwest of Atlanta, are closely watching the planned sale of a 14,000 acre tract of land.
