The breakdown
1. Overwhelming evidence shows that supporters of then-President Donald Trump copied Georgia’s statewide voting software from an election office in rural Coffee County.
- This happened back in 2021.
- The FBI doesn’t appear to be investigating the case, and the GBI investigation has been pending for eight months.
2. Gov. Brian Kemp will skip the Georgia GOP convention in Columbus in June.
- The break comes after a long rift with the governor after he broke away from the Trump-centered party.
- Patricia Murphy points out that Kemp can have fundraising success outside the party.
