1. Former President Trump was arraigned on 37 counts in federal court.

  • It was the second time in three months that Trump has been indicted.
    • And that's not counting the $5 million civil judgment against him for sexual abuse at the end of April.
  • There are still two more criminal investigations looming, including one in Georgia as Fulton County DA Fani Willis continues her probe.

 

2. Gov. Brian Kemp says he'll support the ticket regardless of the nominee. 

  • He made the comments in a CBS interview when asked about Trump's indictment.
  • The governor has not ruled out the possibility of running in 2024.
