Opponents of a planned public safety training center in Atlanta submitted thousands of petitions for a referendum to City Hall today.

A state judge in Brunswick is ordering a minister to shut down a tent shelter for the homeless.  The city calls it a "public nuisance."

Ceremonies across Georgia remembered the attacks of September 11th.  A retired NYPD police officer spoke in Johns Creek.
