The State Election Board has rejected a proposal to let Georgians vote with hand-marked paper ballots over privacy concerns.

A legislative panel held its first hearing today about public access to the state's rivers and the definition of "navigable waters."

FEMA has added Berrien and Brooks Counties to those where residents can seek help for damages caused by Hurricane Idalia.
