Kendrick Johnson's family is filing a federal lawsuit related to the investigation into their son's death

An image of Kendrick Johnson, the south Georgia teenager officials said was found dead inside a rolled-up wrestling mat in his school, is displayed on a banner, as demonstrators attend a “Who Killed K.J.” rally in Atlanta.

Johnson was found dead in a rolled-up gym mat at Lowndes High School over a decade ago. His family is now filing a $1 billion federal lawsuit against the local sheriff's office and state investigators after they determined his death was an accident. His father spoke with host Leah Fleming about Kendrick's life.

It's been one year since the "In Her Hands" program started giving select women in College Park a guaranteed income every month. GPB's Amanda Andrews interviewed two women, who say their quality of life has improved, with the extra income adding much-needed stability to their lives.
