A program offering ride-sharing credits is aimed at preventing drunk driving deaths.

If you plan on drinking alcohol during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Georgia has a plan to get you home from your gathering safely and without driving.

Georgia is one of five states awarded $25,000 in ride credits on Uber by the national Governors Highway Safety Association.

The credits are aimed at preventing drunk driving deaths.

To receive a $25 credit, Uber account holders need to enter the code rUsQ0JNHGgv in the discount code section of their app.

Each account will only be able to receive one $25 credit and the Uber account user must be in Georgia to receive the credit.

The ride share credits only will be available during the following hours:

  • Wednesday, November 22 — 9 p.m. to 11:59 a.m.
  • Thursday, November 23 — Midnight to 6 a.m.; 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
  • Friday, November 24 — Midnight to 6 a.m.; 8 to 11:59 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 25 — Midnight to 6 a.m.; 6 to 11:59 p.m.
  • Sunday, November 26 — Midnight to 6 a.m.; 8 to 11:59 p.m.
  • Monday, November 27 — Midnight to 6 a.m.
