Georgia in Play Preview: The sun goes down at 5 and it's cold out, so get ready for cuffing season!
Primary Content

If you check the forecast, you might notice the sun sets at 5:30 p.m. and the temperature never gets above 50-ish degrees. That's the time of year some romantic hopefuls call "cuffing season," derived from the idea that you're proverbially handcuffing yourself to a partner to get through the winter.
Host Leah Fleming sat down with Hatched dating app founder Mitch Alterman and Married at First Sight host — and church pastor — Calvin Roberson to discuss the season, healthy relationships, and what to look for in a partner past surface-level appearances.

Alterman's Hatched app takes the focus away from physical appearances, obscuring your profile picture behind an egg that cracks open over time. He says he met his wife on a dating app years ago, and now that such apps are destigmatized, he wants to make sure meet-cutes are more than skin-deep.
Pastor Calvin "Cal" Roberson is the lead pastor at Progression Church, author of Marriage Ain't For Punks, and host of Lifetime's Married at First Sight. He's also working on a dating service that will ask you dozens of questions, then match you with one single partner at a time based on your results. He spoke on the people he's seen miss out on a connection because of what he calls superficial "dealbreakers."
