Buckhead estate sells for almost $13 million, breaks three-year record

Dorsey Alston, Realtors agent Shanna Smith closed on the record-breaking sale of a 12-acre Buckhead estate listed for $12,900,000.
Located at 3490 Riverly Road, the sale marks the largest on-market residential transaction in metro Atlanta in the last three years, according to First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS) data.
The property, which includes a 14,0000+ square foot primary residence, a horse barn and riding trails, a carriage house, and a par three golf hole, was sold by Kim and Tom Noonan. The listing attracted multiple qualified buyers before the March 4 closing.
“The moment we drove up the driveway more than 20 years ago, we fell in love with the house,” said Kim Noonan. “The setting was perfect, and over the years, we made three adjoining land purchases and many improvements. Shanna understood the uniqueness of the house and the property, and she was meticulous in every aspect of the marketing and sale of our home.”
The main residence, designed by renowned residential architect William T. Baker, is adorned with details like hand-carved Indiana limestone, Carolina wood-molded brick, and a Vermont slate roof. The grounds feature manicured gardens, rolling lawns, and a tennis court. The home was styled by award-winning interior designer Suzanne Kasler.
