These musicians are filming music video in Macon. Here’s how you can be in the shoot

Grammy Award-winning artist Anthony Hamilton will be part of a music video shoot in Macon, teaming up with Stacii Adams to do a video for Adams’ song “Happy Days.”

In partnership with Teeger Entertainment, the two vocalists will film the video at the Tubman African American Museum on July 14 from 5 to 10 p.m. The public is invited to be in it, according to a news release sent on Monday.

Online tickets to register and attend the video shoot are no longer available, said Al Tillman, vice president of Teeger Entertainment and former Macon-Bibb County commissioner. Members of the public who didn’t get registered before tickets sold out can still show up but may be included in different segments.

The event promises to be a historic moment for Macon, bringing together several Middle Georgia artists and leaders to have a good time, Adams said.

“My main thing, coming out of Middle Georgia, is letting people know we’re good enough to be with the best of the best. We’re here to show what we can do,” the Milledgeville native added. “And it ain’t no better person to prove it with than Anthony Hamilton.”

“Happy Days” is an upbeat single from Adams’ upcoming “Love You Like The 90s” album, which has a colorful merge of Afrobeats, Southern soul, and R&B genres. He said the song embodies happiness and a feel-good style of music that is missing in the industry.

“We’re in a society where, a lot of times, people don’t know how to be happy, but with this record, we want to be able to induce happiness in people, whatever their race, color or creed is,” Adams said. “We’re happy, and we’re gonna’ have some happy days.”

Tillman said extra scenes in the Macon-based music video will be filmed on Cotton Avenue.

“It’s just great to have a local, Middle Georgia native that have caught and captured the eye of so many national recording artists. It’s just not normal for somebody like Anthony Hamilton, on his level, to say I want to do something with a local guy,” Tillman said.

Attendees for the music video were encouraged to register for the free event online.

The press release requested that the community dress to impress with their finest semi-formal attire and comfortable sneakers in preparation to dance.

But the online forum sold out in just one day. Tillman told The Telegraph they expect people to show, and they will try to accommodate everyone anyway.

Shuanta Porter of And 5678 Line Dance created an infectious dance that everybody will do, and AJ the DJ will be providing live music, Adams said after mentioning his excitement for the upcoming weekend.

“Middle Georgia has something to say, and we want to bring something to the table that’s going to actually help stamp what has already been stamped by Little Richard, the Allman Brothers and Otis Redding,” Adams said. “And I want to put a stamp down as Stacii Adams.”

Macon-Bibb Mayor Lester Miler, Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick and Milledgeville Mayor Mary Parham Copelan will also be in attendance, Teeger Entertainment said.
